"Our experience with this agency was a mixed bag. Had a renters policy with them for two years. Had to deal with a different staff member every time we needed something (i.e., renewal, address change) so retention appears to be an issue. Things were fine for 2 years but went downhill recently. The underwriting department threatened to cancel the policy prematurely - we had paid for the entire year but were not properly credited for that payment when a room number change (within the same apartment) required a new policy (vs. amending the current policy.) Took several calls to get that sorted. Then when attempting to get a renters policy for a new residence, the premium was 60% higher for the same coverage, and the quote changed every time I called. Mr. Fincher himself quoted an amount that was a reasonable increase over the prior year, but then refused to honor the quote because the old lease/policy had expired before the new lease began (it was a "new policy" vs a renewal.) I've been with State Farm for 40+ years, and after 2 years as a customer with this agent, we were sorely disappointed and took our business elsewhere. They're getting 3 stars because the initial experience was satisfactory."
